Supported media types for upload to Camayak

Camayak supports the uploading of various media files to assignments.  Some of these media file types can be inserted into the body of stories, and others are available for staff to download.

Camayak supports the following media files for upload and insertion into stories:

  • Image formats
    • JPEG (.jpg, .jpeg)
    • GIF – both static and animated
    • PNG
  • Audio formats
    • MP3
    • AIFF
    • WAV
    • M4A
    • Ogg

Camayak supports the following media files for upload and download (but cannot be inserted into stories):

  • PDF (.pdf)
  • Microsoft Word (.doc, .docx)
  • Opendocument text (.odt)
  • Microsoft Excel (.xls, .xlsx)
  • Opendocument spreadsheets (.ods)
  • Microsoft Powerpoint (.ppt, .pptx)
  • Opendocument presentations (.odp)
  • Video formats (.webm, .ogv, .mov, .mp4, .mkv, .3gp, .flv)
