Cam Privacy Policy
Introduction
“Cam” is owned and operated by Camayak Ltd.
This Privacy Policy governs your access of Cam, regardless of how you access it, and by using Camayak, you consent to the collection, transfer, processing, storage, disclosure and other uses described in this Privacy Policy. You may withdraw your consent at any time by requesting that you are removed from your Cam account by your organization owners, or by deactivating or deleting your profile directly through Cam. You may also limit your consent to particular aspects of Cam’s use of your data by unsubscribing from specific communications from us. In addition to these rights you have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority, although we encourage you to get in contact with us by emailing privacy@camayak.com and we’ll do our very best to resolve your concern.
All of the different forms of data, content, and information described below are collectively to as “information”.
1. The information we collect and store
We collect information to provide better services to all of our users – from producing reports to optimizing your organization’s workflow.
1.1 Information you give us. When you create an account with Cam, we collect some personally-identifying information such as your name, email address, phone number, credit card or other billing information, home and business or organization postal addresses. You may ask us to import your contacts by giving us access to your third party services (for example, your email account) or to use your social networking information if you give us access to your account on social network connection services. You may also provide us with your contacts’ email addresses when inviting other users.
1.2 Information we get from your use of our services. We may collect information about how you use Cam. For example, we may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to your websites such as how many assignments are created and published, or say which desks or positions are most popular. The amount and type of information that we gather depends on the nature of your interaction with Cam. Cam does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.
1.2.1 Device information. We may collect device specific information, such as your device’s Internet Protocol address, hardware model, or operating system.
1.2.2 Log information. We may collect and store information in logs, such as server logs. This may include details of how you used Cam, such as your search queries, device event information such as crashes, system activity, hardware settings, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request, and any referral URL.
1.2.3 Cookies. We may use cookies to collect information. We may use “persistent cookies” to save your registration ID and login password for future logins to Cam. We may use “session ID cookies” to enable certain features of the Service, to better understand how you interact with the Service and to monitor aggregate usage and web traffic routing on the Service. If you instruct your browser to stop accepting cookies, you may not be able to use all aspects of Cam.
2. How we use personally-identifying information
2.1 Personally-identifying information. We may use the personally identifying information we collect to provide, maintain, protect, and improve Cam and your use of Cam. This includes using the information to administer your use of the service, to better understand your needs and interests, to personalize your experience, connect you with other users or organizations and to provide or offer software and product announcements. We also use this information to offer you content such as reports and advertisements. We will ask for your explicit, separate consent before using information for a purpose other than those that are set out in this privacy policy.
3. Information sharing and disclosure
We disclose potentially personally-identifying information and personally-identifying
information only to our employees, contractors, and affiliated organizations that (i) need
to know the information in order to process it on Cam’s behalf or to provide services
available at Cam’s websites, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it with others.
If you send us a request (for example via a support email or via one of our feedback
mechanisms), we reserve the right to publish it in order to help us clarify or respond to
your request or to help us support other users. Cam takes all measures reasonably
necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration, or destruction of
potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information.
3.1 Data sharing with third parties. When we work with a third party that’s better placed to process data (including personal data) for a specific purpose, we update this list which also describes the specific purpose that we employ them for. As of May 2018 this list includes:
– Sendinblue (email sender)
– Google Analytics (website tracking)
– Stripe (payment processor)
– Contracted engineers (for specialized analysis of anonymous data)
– Zendesk (for support tickets)
– Intercom (for on-site messaging)

3.2 Changing or deleting your information. As a registered user, you may review, update, correct or delete the Personal Information provided in your registration or account profile by changing your “account settings”. If your personally identifiable information changes, or if you no longer desire our service, you may update or delete it be making the change on your account settings. In some cases we may retain copies of your information if required by law.
3.3 Data retention. We will retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you wish to cancel your account or request that we no longer use your information to provide you services, you may delete your account. We may retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Consistent with these requirements, we will try to delete your information quickly upon request. Please note, however, that there might be latency in deleting information from our servers and backed-up versions might exist after deletion. In addition, we do not delete from our servers files that you have in common with other users unless required to do so by applicable law.
3.4 Data retrieval. If you would like to submit a data access request, you may do so by emailing privacy@camayak.com. We will then start the process and provide you a link to access your personal data that Cam stores within 30 days.
3.5 US data processing. Cam is a U.S. company and processes the data it collects and receives in the U.S.. Accordingly we are a compliant EU-U.S. privacy shield member, which enables us to process your safely data in the U.S.
4. Cam community
Our Service offers publicly accessible community services. You should be aware that any information you provide in these areas may be read, collected and used by others who access these services. Information and content you create or post using the Services may remain even after you cancel your account. In the event of a breach that affects your personal data, we will notify our regulators and affected users without undue delay.
5. Security
The security of your information and content is important to us. We follow generally accepted standards to protect the information submitted to us. No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, however. We cannot guarantee the security of your information or content.
5.1 Our policy toward children. Cam is not directed to children under 16. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with personal information without their consent, he or she should contact us at privacy@camayak.com. If we become aware that a child under 16 has provided use with personal information, we will delete such information from our files.

6.1 Changes to our privacy policy. This Privacy Policy may change from time to time. If we make a change to this privacy policy that we believe materially reduces your rights, we will provide you with notice (for example, by email). We may provide notice in other circumstances as well. By continuing to use Cam after those changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Privacy Policy.
