WordPress security plugins

For Camayak publishing to work properly against WordPress publishing destinations, security plugins may need some adjustments.

Wordfence

The Wordfence security plugin firewall must allow Camayak’s servers through its rules.

• Firewall Options > Advanced Firewall Options
  • Allowlisted IP addresses that bypass all rules: paste our list of addresses.
  • Ignored IP addresses for Wordfence Web Application Firewall alerting: paste our list of addresses.
• Settings > Login Security Settings
  • Disable XML-RPC authentication: ensure it is unchecked.

iThemes security

The iThemes security plugin must authorize our servers to bypass its strict rules.

• Global Settings > Authorized Hosts
  • Authorized Hosts: paste our list of addresses.
• Advanced > WordPress Tweaks > API Access
  • Ensure “XML-RPC” dropdown is set to “Enable XML-RPC”.
